OFF-ROAD ENTHUSIASTS will find an absolute paradise in South Fork. The sheer quantity of trails is inspiring. The Rio Grande National Forest contains over 1300 miles of trails with the majority allowing off-road vehicles. The terrain presents a gradual rise in elevation ideal for off-road touring. Add spectacular scenery and copious sunshine to the mix, and you’ll soon be planning your next visit.

SNOWMOBILING is a favorite pastime in South Fork. There’s no shortage of outdoor clubs to join for weekly outings, and over 250 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. Groomed trails for cross country skiing and snowshoeing can be enjoyed right outside your door at Riverside, or for the sake of variety, there are several touring trails within a 20-minute drive, including a loop at Wolf Creek Ski Area.
